Klinch (official corporate name – Fintech Enterprises Inc) is a team of technology startup founders who are expert in fintech product development, data science, emerging market finance, UX/UI design, and online customer acquisition.


We build fintech companies. Sometimes we help other companies with their fintech products or fintech investment decisions.


Matthew Shaw

Matthew Shaw is a financier with over 25 years experience in traditional and entrepreneurial banking. He has held senior positions for ANZ Banking Group, Moscow Narodny and UBS. In 1998 he co-founded DEPFA Investment Bank, a specialist EM investment bank formed as a JV with DEPFA Group. After exiting DEPFA in 2003 for proceeds of over USD 150M, Matthew left mainstream banking to focus on startups and his proprietary investment business.

Thomas Kineshanko

Thomas Kineshanko is the CEO of Fintech Enterprises. Previously he co-founder of Habitat Enterprises (which invested in GHG emission reduction projects and the creation of financial instruments that were tradeable on the carbon market), Gridbid (an online auction that has auctioned over $40 million in roof space for solar), was a co-founding equity partner of publicly traded early stage tech fund TSX.V GAE (when it acquired a stake in Habitat’s founders shares), and was a co-founder of Walkmore (alternative credit scoring using big data, acquired by GTE Financial). Thomas is an alum of Singularity University at NASA AMES Research Centre, The National University of Singapore, and Simon Fraser University, where he was a two-time Academic and Athletic All-American in Track & Field.

Stephane Guerraz

Stephane Guerraz holds a MSc. in Computer Science, is a Certified Actuary and CFA charterholder, and completed an MBA at UC Berkeley where he also organized Berkeley’s first Nanotechnology Forum. Stephane brings more than 10 years of experience managing the design of investment and software products at companies including, BNP Paribas and RSA Security.

Philipp Kallerhoff

Philipp Kallerhoff is a serial entrepreneur and data scientist that worked in the fintech and hedge fund industry with a focus on signal processing and machine learning. He holds University degrees in Engineering, Psychology and Physics and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the Technical University Berlin. His latest fintech and big data startup, Jumiya Inc. in Palo Alto, California, was acquired by a large US bank in 2014.

Ralph Turfus (Chairman)

Mr. Ralph Turfus B.A.Sc. M.A.Sc. M.B.A. P.Eng. Founded Class Software (originally Escom Software) and served as its Chief Executive Officer for 28 years. Mr. Turfus steered Class Software to what were the largest changes so far in the history of computer software and data processing industry, from the dawn of minicomputers to the personal computer era to the dominance of the web. He trained as an engineer and also spent seven years in the Canadian Air Force. He also created registration and booking software for municipal parks and recreation departments, clubs, colleges, and schools. He serves as the Chairman of Redlen Technologies Inc. He serves as Director of Navarik Corp.

Marc Baumgartner

Marc Baumgartner is a veteran designer and entrepreneur. Over the past 20 years Marc has been involved as a designer and strategist on projects ranging from the planning and design of Olympic games facilities and large architectural projects to user experience, product development, mobile and web design, including co-founding Ayoudo, Codename Design and his position as Design Director and VP of Product at NowPublic.com through its inception, substantial venture financing, and acquisition by Examiner.com in 2009. During its time NowPublic was named a Time Magazine top 5 Website of the Year and received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Interactive Design.
